I have 25 years of experience as a painter and illustrator working and exhibiting on both sides of the Atlantic. When Im not in the studio I spend as much time as I can traveling extensively, filling dozens of sketchbooks with observation drawings and paintings which are the source for my studio work. I am proud to be an elected member of Britain’s Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. I studied architecture in England at Sheffield University and received my masters degree at the Royal College of Art in London where I began to use paintings extensively to explore the world. I teach in both the fineart and illustration department at The American Academy of Art in Chicago, just a few blocks down the street from Edsey HQ. Using a mixture of water-based media and collaged papers I endeavour to give my clients richly textured images that are striking, distinctive and immediately visually arresting.
